Corporate Social Responsibility Association represented at the second UN Global Compact Leaders Summit took place on 5-6 July 2007 at UN Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, by Serdar Dinler, Director of Board of Directors. The Summit, co-chaired by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, gathered over 1000 chief executive officers, government ministers, heads of civil society and labour organizations from all over the world - making the Summit the largest event ever convened by the UN on the topic of corporate citizenship
As the two-day conference closed, the participants adopted the 21-point Geneva Declaration, which spells out concrete actions for business, governments and United Nations Global Compact participants. The Geneva Declaration expresses the belief that “globalization, if rooted in universal principles, has the power to improve our world fundamentally -- delivering economic and social benefits to people, communities and markets everywhere”.

Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey attended United Nations Global Compact conference organized by Koc Holding.
A great number of private sector representatives and non-governmental organization representatives participated the conference and Corporate Social Responsibility Association Chairman Mr. Serdar Dinler presented the baseline study report on Corporate Social Responsibility practices in Turkey in the afternoon session.
Conference was organized on 25th October 2007 Thursday at Koc Holding Nakkastepe premises. In the conference social responsibility principles were viewed in scope of the practices of human rights, labour conditions, environment and fight against corruption. The opening speech of the conference was made by Koc Holding President of Corporate Communication and Information Technology Group Ali Y. Koc. United Nations Global Compact Director George Kell presented overlapping areas of corporate social responsibility and global compact principles.
Moreover UNDP Resident Representative Mahmood Ayub and Claude Fussler who is the writer of the book: “Raising the Bar: Creating Value with the United Nations Global Compact” made speeches. In the conference global compact application tools for SMEs were presented. In addition to that UK Global compact network mechanism which provides assistance to organizations for applying principles was shared.
