Membership to CSR Association in Turkey

Membership is open to every type of company, to be a member of the association it is expected that companies goes through a learning process on social responsibility and reflect this learning into practice and commitment.

In this change process, CSR Association in Turkey assists companies to have an effective and pro-active learning with the guidance of creative engagement with stakeholder groups through its network.

We believe CSR is not static but a creative way to do business which ultimately serves not only to the shareholders but a larger group which can be defined as stakeholders. Because society is under a change process and so does the business. Therefore, there are unlimited continuous steps to be socially responsible.

There are 3 levels of membership under the membership scheme of CSR Association in Turkey . The companies are expected to generate a platform on the following issues.

Level 1- Bronze Members - CSR Supporter

To create awareness inside the company (What is CSR? What is in it for me?)

To have an analysis of Organizational and Strategy (What to do about CSR?)

Identifying Stakeholder groups

Level 2 - Silver Members - CSR Practioneer

To have CSR codes

To manage a Stakeholder Dialogue

Having CSR Practice's for at least 3 stakeholder groups

Level 3 - Gold Members - CSR Committers

Reporting CSR activities

Certification - Using International Standards such as SA8000, Global Compact

Benefits of being a member to CSR Association in Turkey you will have full access to the services related to the levels of membership. Other benefits can be stated as follows:

1. You will be part of network that is discussing about CSR,

2. Your logo will be online at both www.kssd.org and www.csrturkey.org which are the official web sites of the association.

3. You will have discounted rates for our general public trainings,

4. You will have full and free access to the meetings, conferences and networking events held by the association,

5. You will have access to the membership area where you can find and add news and articles about your organization and its CSR practices,

6. You will receive a copy of the every published document,

To be a member of the association your corporation should state that it will comply with the level requirements and reason why it wants to be a member. Once you are a member you should:

1. Nominate a representative to the general assembly and giving direction to the yearly planning,

2. Being a part of one of the activities organized by CSR Association in Turkey ,

3. Sharing knowledge and expertise with the other member companies of the network,
