  “Corporate Social Responsibility Marketplace” held in Turkey

Corporate Social Responsibility Marketplace” organized by Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey was held on December 9, 2011 in Kadir Has University. It awarded 21 companies and 3 institutions in different categories of social responsibility. “The event CSR Solutions Marketplace” titled “Enterprise 2023; Corporate Social Responsibility in the Republic’s 100th Year” this year, organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey, took place in Kadir Has University on December 9th, 2011.

The Jury Awards were given to the CSR solutions that were examined by the Evaluation Institution formed by CSR Europe and various organizations in Europe focusing on corporate social responsibility.
As follows:
(1) First Price: Bakü Tiflis Ceyhan Oil Pipeline
(Innovative Regional and Community Development Investment Application)
(2) Second Price: Dođuţ Media Group – NTV
(Environmental Communication and Environmental Awareness Promotion Practice)
(3) Third Prices: Michelin and Renault Mais
(Michelin– Skill and Competency Development Application)
(Renault Mais – Awareness Application)
(4) Special Jury Award: Dođuţ Automotive
(Internal Social Responsibility Practice)

Also an individual award was given for the first time in the awards ceremony. Social Responsible Broadcasting was given to Okan Bayülgen. He was awarded for announcing a tweet that came to him during live broadcasting when the Van earthquake stroke, taking responsibility, taking action, and helping save two people from the debris rescued by the AKUT rescue team with this tweet; and for his contribution to the country with projects that influence and encourage participation, for broadcasting understanding about responsibility to the public.

  Young Journalists Competition on Enterprise 2020

CSR Europe invites young journalists from around Europe interested in socio-economic and environmental issues to take up the challenge to cover Enterprise 2020 in an innovative and creative way.

CSR Turkey Index was prepared to take into consideration of Turkey’s economic, social, and environmental conditions. Index aims to be developed of managements’ performances and to be measured of managements’ performances in economic, social, environmental and reporting-audit areas. Additionally, it provides some opportunities to the managements which accepts social responsibility such as a business strategy like social, economic and environmental plans’ being explanation.more

        CSR Library

Corporate Social Responsibility Library was built to develope social responsibility consciousness and to promote CSR practices in Turkey by Corporate Social Responsibility Academy which combined university, civil society and business. CSR Library which is in Kadir Has University’s Library is for every institution and person. more

   Turkey CSR Solutions Marketplace Catalogue

As CSR Association of Turkey, we think that CSR culture has an important place in Turkey, in terms of company cultures, in the economy and changing world. So, by creating a general awareness, we aimed to assure a platform for the companies which interiorize CSR as their corporate culture to present their solutions.

The Second Marketplace Catalogue was published which entitled as Turkey CSR Solutions Marketplace Catalogue" on 15 October 2010. more

        Turkey Corporate Social Responsibility Baseline Report

Our  first ‘Turkey Corporate Social Responsibility Baseline Report’ was published in 2008 as an outcome of the project ‘Accelerating CSR practices in the new EU member states and candidate countries as a vehicle for harmonization, competitiveness, and social cohesion in the EU’ which was funded by European Commission and United Programme by CSR Turkey.

And now our second report analysis condition of CSR in Turkey under the global financial crisis, the vision of Turkish government regarding sustainability and situation of supply chain management applications for CSR. The report also touches on the importance of contribution of academic environment to CSR applications and effect of the media for accelerating CSR awareness. We also analyzed CSR applications of leading Turkish companies as well as Small and Medium Sized Enterprises. more

   Booklet: CSR Principles in International Business

This booklet contains background information on the International CSR policies of the Dutch government regarding the supply chain responsibilities of Dutch companies. It also provides basic guidance on “How to put CSR into practice” for Turkish companies doing business with Dutch companies.

The development and publishing of this booklet was made possible through the financial contribution of the Human Rights Funds of the Consulate - General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Istanbul. CSR Consulting Turkey and the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey developed the contents of this booklet.more

   CSR Middle East Network

          CSR Road Map for Turkey

Under the context of European Union (EU) Civil Society Dialogue Programme, Accelarating CSR in Turkey Project has been implemented with the collaboration of CSR Europe and CSR Turkey. One of the notable outcomes of that project is to publish ‘CSR Road Map for Turkey’ as a result of several activities with target groups and study visits to abroad during the project. CSR Roadmap for Turkey offers short and long term suggestions such as increasing competitiveness of companies in Turkey, expanding the usage of CSR Reporting, important roles of media and public sector in the area of CSR and also doing scientific researches on CSR in Turkey. more

   CSR and the Media in Turkey 'Media CSR Toolkit Report'

CSR Turkey has been implementing "Accelerating CSR in Turkey Project” within the EU Civil Society Dialogue Program since July 2008. The project which has been implemented in cooperation with CSR Europe covered a one day workshop specially designed for articulating the relationship between the CSR and Media which contributed to publish ‘Media CSR Toolkit Report’. Media and CSR – The content of the report of  ‘Media CSR Toolkit Report’ covers the CSR and related concepts, CSR reporting of business world, and the information about tools needed for reporting. Also report includes that CSR has to be known and supported by consumers and other stakeholders and mentiones the importance of media for motivating firms to embrace more responsible approaches.more
