Enhancing Corporate Social Responsibility in Iran and Turkey |
Under the content of Enhancing Corporate Social Responsibility in Iran and Turkey Project, second roundtable meeting between Iranian and Turkish Business People was held on 26th May 2010 in Iran Chamber of Commerce in Tehran.
CSR Turkey and CSR Iran Associations started the project in January 2009 to raise the awareness of human rights, labor rights, corruption and environmental issues (as the main themes of CSR) throughout society and among key stakeholders; as well as to develop international partnerships for dialogue and understanding between Turkey and Iran. more |

| 1st CSR Certificate Program Ceremony |
Turkey's first civil society and business co-operation 'Has Academy of Corporate Social Responsibility', which is created in cooperation with Kadir Has University and Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey organized Certificate Program about Corporate Social Responsibility on 2 March – 15 April 2010. Middle and senior managers of the best companies of our country attended the CSR Certificate Program started on 2 March.
With the help of this program, participants were able to develope CSR applications as well as getting detailed information about CSR, CSR reporting and CSR world applications during the seven weeks. At the end of the program, participants got their certificate at the ceremony held on Kadir Has University Campus on 15 April 2010 more

CSR Academy Training Courses |
Kadir Has University 'Has Corporate Social Responsibility Academy' that leads works for raising the awareness of CSR in Turkey and wide spreading the applications of CSR, meets private sector with special CSR programmes that include all CSR areas.

| 2nd CSR Certificate Program - September 2010 |
CSR is on of the important competition factor as well as financial success for all corporations. It has become more important that the corporations manage their procesess consisted with the national and global CSR standards. Building a clear CSR System provides the componies to take measures against the risks on social, environmental, ethic and common economic areas.
Training programme will be held on Tuesday and Thursday during the September and October 2010. For getting succesfull results, participants should continue to classroom lessons at least 80%, and should participate the learning projects 100% more |

Corporate Social Responsibility Weekend Trainings |
CSR Training Seminars, concerning all the fields of CSR and opened to all the participants from business world, media, academicians and students, will be held at Cibali Campus of Kadir Has University by Has CSR Academy which aims to promote the ideas of CSR and to make CSR implementations widespread and well-known. | Sustainability in the Construction Industry - Dubai |
Sustainability in the Construction Industry is a three-day seminar designed to introduce the various parties involved in the construction industry to principles of sustainability management and sustainable construction. The seminar will start by providing a background on how sustainability management can be integrated into the day to day business operations of any given company in the industry. Local laws and regulations as enablers and inhibitors will also be discussed. The seminar will also review the status of sustainable construction globally, and in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) in particular. more

| CSR Academy 2nd NGO Days (Exhibition) 03 - 04 March 2010 |
 Second Days of the Non-Governmental Organization was organized by Kadir Has University between 3-4 March 2010 by Has Corporate Social Responsibility Academy which was built with the help of Kadir Has University and Turkey Corporate Social Responsibility Association.
32 Non-Governmental Organization showed their Social responsibility projects to students, members of the press, business world by opening stands in Second Days of the NGO. Separately, Second Days of the Non-Governmental Organization conducted interactive information sharing pool with film screenings, workshops and seminars which were provided by NGO in Second Days of the NGO. more |

| CSR Road Map for Turkey |
Under the context of European Union (EU) Civil Society Dialogue Programme, Accelarating CSR in Turkey Project has been implemented with the collaboration of CSR Europe and CSR Turkey. One of the notable outcomes of that project is to publish ‘CSR Road Map for Turkey’ as a result of several activities with target groups and study visits to abroad during the project.
CSR Roadmap for Turkey offers short and long term suggestions such as increasing competitiveness of companies in Turkey, expanding the usage of CSR Reporting, important roles of media and public sector in the area of CSR and also doing scientific researches on CSR in Turkey. more |

CSR and the Media in Turkey 'Media CSR Toolkit Report' |
CSR Turkey has been implementing "Accelerating CSR in Turkey Project” within the EU Civil Society Dialogue Program since July 2008. The project which has been implemented in cooperation with CSR Europe covered a one day workshop specially designed for articulating the relationship between the CSR and Media which contributed to publish ‘Media CSR Toolkit Report’. Media and CSR – The content of the report of ‘Media CSR Toolkit Report’ covers the CSR and related concepts, CSR reporting of business world, and the information about tools needed for reporting. Also report includes that CSR has to be known and supported by consumers and other stakeholders and mentiones the importance of media for motivating firms to embrace more responsible approaches.more |

As part of its efforts to strengthen the understanding of corporate social responsibility concept in Turkey, CSR Turkey undertakes various initiatives. Among these, CSR Turkey has been implementing "Accelerating CSR in Turkey Project” within the EU Civil Society Dialogue Program since July 2008. The project which has been implemented in cooperation with CSR Europe, a leading CSR institution in Europe, covers CSR conferences along with workshops specially designed for articulating the relationship between the CSR and Media and CSR for SMEs.
In the framework of EU Civil Society Dialog Program, 'Turkey CSR Solutions Market Place' activity ,as a final activity in Accelerating CSR in Turkey Project that we apply with CSR-Europe partnership on between July 2008 and November 2009, took place on 23th October 2009 at Kadir Has University. more |

Turkey CSR Solutions Marketplace Catalogue |
Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey (CSR – Turkey) in partnership with CSR – Europe developed a CSR Project entitled “Accelerating CSR in Turkey” under the auspices of European Union Civil Society Dialogue Programme.
Seventeen months long project was initiated on July 2008. The project is composed of two CSR Conferences, 1 Media Workshop, 1 SMEs Training and organization Turkey CSR Solutions Marketplace. Besides, a CSR Roadmap will be prepared and published via the outcomes of the two CSR Conferences.

| NPO Meeting - Kadir Has University/ Hey Textile, Turkey |
CSR Europe is the leading European business network for corporate social responsibility with around 75 multinational corporations and 27 national partner organisations as members. Its mission is to support member companies in integrating CSR into the way they do business, every day.
The NPO meeting at Kadir Has University has started with the speech of Serdar Dinler, president of CSR Turkey, emphasizing the importance of this meeting as it was the first NPO meeting hosted by CSR Turkey. Mr. Dinler also mentioned that he was pleased to see the NPOs attending to the first Turkish CSR market place. There were totally 25 participants from 14 NPOs in addition to the attendance of the executive director, board of directors and NPO relations coordinator of CSR Europe. more

Report for Enhancing CSR in Iran Project - 24 October 2009 |
Enhancing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Iran Project started in January 2009. In this report we want to reflect and summarize our activity and acquisitions of the project until now.
The project mainly targets CSR advocates in Iran, including NGOs related to CSR and Iranian businesses seeking to improve bring their business practices in line with international standards. The project proposes to foster participation of NGOs and businessmen in CSR workshops and discussions, raising awareness of their rights and responsibilities based key concept including Human Rights, Transparency, Labor Rights, Corruption, and Accountability. more |
| Awareness Raising and Experience Sharing for Media |
The Media is, of course, an important actor throughout all other activities of the project but developing their competence and understanding on how to better communicate CSR requires special attention.
The Workshop of Turkey journalists was carried out in cooperation with professional journalists and CSR experts from the European Union on 5 October 2009 in Istanbul, who have been working on CSR related issues in the European Union. These activities was not only served as directing and enlightening Turkish Media on CSR but also create a networking opportunity for the members of the media from both countries, interested in CSR. more |

Through the implementation of activities for a better understanding and application of Corporate Social Responsibility, the whole society will benefit by drawing its way for a sustainable development based upon EU standards.

The globe changes rapidly and old values and tendencies are replaced with new ones simultaneously. None of the entities, neither corporations nor governments, have the luxury to fall outside from this rapid change process. Turkey also meets with new concepts through this change process and attempts to adopt itself to this transformation.
Beyond the invention of alphabetic writing and onset of the use of money we encounter milestone dates like Industrial Revolution in 1774, Use of Railways in 1829, Steel and Electricity in 1875, Petrol and Chemicals in 1908, Informatics in 1971. It is obvious that these change processes influenced human being and enabled various transformations. People, particularly young people, who benefit from these transformation processes digress their boxes and now play a key role on change. more
